Life has a way of reminding us that endings are not always final — sometimes, they’re fresh beginnings in disguise. For a long time, I used to look at change as something scary, a signal that I had “messed up” or that things weren’t going the way they were supposed to. But over time, I realized that starting over doesn’t mean failure. It means growth.
Starting over gives us permission to dream again. It clears the old pages and hands us a brand-new notebook, waiting for fresh words, fresh stories, and fresh hope. Each reset I’ve been through has carried lessons that I didn’t even know I needed. Those lessons shaped my writing, my faith, my love for community, and the way I see myself today.
So, if you’re in a season where you feel like you’re back at square one, take a deep breath. Don’t see it as going backward. See it as being entrusted with a new canvas, a new chance to create, to love, to heal, and to thrive. Starting over can be the greatest surprise gift life gives us.
