Growth isn’t always gentle. Sometimes it comes disguised as heartbreak, silence, or a door you never saw closing. For a long time, I thought “change” meant becoming someone new, but now I realize it’s really about returning to who you were meant to be before the world taught you otherwise.
I’ve learned that peace is expensive — and it’s okay to protect it.
Not everyone deserves access to your heart, your energy, or your dreams. Some lessons whispered, “You don’t owe everyone an explanation.” Others screamed, “Stop shrinking to make others comfortable.” Both were right
I’ve learned that forgiveness doesn’t mean staying — it means freeing yourself from the weight of what hurt you.
It’s not easy to let go of pain, especially when your heart wanted forever. But I’ve learned that God can’t fill hands that are still clinging to broken pieces. When I released what wasn’t for me, I made space for healing, purpose, and peace.
And most of all, I’ve learned that I’m still becoming.
Every setback refined me. Every tear taught me compassion. Every “no” redirected me toward something better. Growth doesn’t always look like winning — sometimes it looks like surviving, resting, or saying, “I’m done pretending I’m okay.”
I used to pray for strength. Now I thank God for the wisdom that came with the struggle. Because strength without wisdom will make you repeat cycles you were meant to outgrow.
So here’s to the lessons that broke me, taught me, and built me.
Here’s to becoming softer, stronger, and more aligned.
And here’s to never being afraid to start over — because every version of you deserves a chance to bloom. πΈ
